  1. Welcome to EasyASP version 3.5.1 Final!
  2. --------------------------------------
  3. This is a short but sweet little file 
  4. on what's new in this version. 
  5.  
  6. Please see the Install.txt file for install
  7. instructions

  9. Currently New Features in this version:
  10. Version 3.5.1 Features:
  11.     1. Added 2 new programs, EasyStyle and
  12.         EasyDoc.
  13.     2. Added more ASP and Java Support
  14.     3. Fixed fileviewer bug
  15.     4. Redesigned EasyFTP
  16.     5. Added command line opening of files
  17.     6. You can associate EasyASP with 
  18.         certain file types now through
  19.         the options dialog
  20.     7. See the help viewer for more new stuff

  23. Version 3.3.1 Features:
  24.     1. Added the ability to color code documents
  25.         by default when they are opened.
  26.     2. Took the site scanner out of the program
  27.     3. Created a new help system for EasyASP that
  28.         should be much nicer for users.
  29.     4. Massive bug fixes to the program.
  30.     5. Removed a lot of old code and program 
  31.         dependancies.

  37. Version 3.2 Features:
  38.     1. Added user ability to change Colors
  39.         for ColorCoding, valid codes are
  40.         1-15 so play :)
  41.     2. Added more options in option Dialog
  42.     3. Added "Filters" for the main file viewer
  43.     4. Fixed many user reported bugs
  44.     5. Cleaned up registry settings when saved,
  45.         note changes in program settings, 
  46.         you may have to reset these.
  47.     6. fixed how the notepads get focus
  48.     7. fixed how the notepad tells if it has changed
  49.     8. Added ability to open images from file viewer
  50.     9. Cleaned up the code some more and took
  51.         out old code
  52.     10. Fixed some bugs in EasyDB and EasyFTP
  53.     11. Added ability to change some DB props in
  54.         EasyDB
  55.     12. Changed the UI for EasyFTP a bit to make it
  56.         a little more useable.
  57.     13. Fixed file viewer bug. now root files open 
  58.         right every time.
  59.     14. Added some more buttons to EasyASP.
  60.     15. Created a new install program with latest 
  61.         install shield. should work on all 
  62.         machines now.
  63.     16. Fixed some viewing problems in nt with the
  64.         file viewer.

  124.         does if you open an old document.

  187. in order to use the program you must also have 
  188. the microsoft Visual Basic Run time Libraries
  189. installed on your system. these can be found at

  191. ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/Softlib/MSFILES/msvbvm50.exe

  193. If you have all of the following libraries installed 
  194. the program should install and work fine on your system.
  195. You only need to download and install the VB Runtime Libraries
  196. once. once they are installed all versions of EasyASP should 
  197. work with no problem so please make sure that these are 
  198. installed. Current Users of EasyASP should not have to 
  199. worry about installing anything but the main program as 
  200. all of the proper libraries should already be installed, or 
  201. will be updated with the new install.

  203. If the program comes up on load and says some sort of error
  204. try reinstalling the program. Something most likely got 
  205. messed up in the install. 
  206.  
  207. I do not take any responsibility for problems you may
  208. have with libraries as most are microsoft products 
  209. and i did not create them (some i did). if you have any 
  210. problems with the program itself please feel free to

  214. EasyASP, EasyDB, and EasyFTP are CareWare programs. This 
  215. means that you can use these programs as long as you want
  216. without anyone hounding you for money. Yet it does require a
  217. registration and a registration dialog will pop up at the 
  218. start of the program asking you for a donation of $20.00 US
  219. dollars to the develompment cause. Corporate users MUST pay
  220. this amount to continue using the program.
